The Pelham is a good compromise between the bridle and the net.

It offers more or less leverage depending on the Shank lenght, the curb chain adjustment and the way it is fitted.

It results in a cession of the neck and pressure on the mandibles.

The longer the limbs, the greater the action of the bit.

The double-butted barrel makes this bit more comfortable in the mouth by freeing up the area of discomfort on the palate. In addition, the rings on the central butts help the horse to relax during work.

All Pelhams can be used direct, with four reins or with rings.

The action of the curb chain can also be softened with other types of curb chain such as leather or nylon.

The barrel is slightly thinner than a standard barrel, which makes it easier to achieve the desired finesse.

The rings allow the horse to concentrate more on his work and be more in control of his bit.

Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a distinctive blue colour.

Sweet Iron develops rust when it comes into contact with moisture (in the mouth), which gives it a sweet taste and stimulates the horse's saliva production in a very natural way.

With this type of mouthpiece, your horse will foam more, which ensures better acceptance of the bit.

*Mouthpiece tickness: 16 mm
