The Stubben STEELtec 2-in-1 bits have a barrel with two levels of action intensity.

Choose the intensity level just by turning the bit.

Position the barrel with the + sign to the left of the mouth to choose the more active side.

This allows the rider to have more precise and measured hand actions.

Position the barrel without the sign on the left side, the softer side is chosen.

This bit is suitable for the most sensitive horses.

Alternating these 2 uses helps prevent the horse's mouth from becoming desensitised.

The free sliding rings of the loose ring snaffle allow the horse to adjust the position of the bit in its mouth.

This tends to cause the horse to relax its jaw and chew the bit, encouraging the horse to accept the bit.

When the reins are taken, the rings move so that the bit is automatically positioned correctly.

The copper alloy helps the horse to accept the bit better.

Copper gives off a pleasant flavour when it comes into contact with the horse's mouth, encouraging it to chew and salivate, so relaxing its jaw.
